The DMi8 core platform is suited for everything from basic microscope to high-end imaging. With an additional incident illumination port, the Infinity Port, one can integrate additional fluorescence light sources and laser systems for advanced applications like FRAP, photo-switching, ablation, optogenetics and tweezing, among others.

The DMi8 offers a dedicated system for FURA2 imaging featuring new objectives that combine high NA and UV transmissions of uTp to 60^ at 340nm. Along with extremely fast external filter wheels (24ms switching time), the system is perfectly equipped for capturing fast dynamic processes like calcium measurements.

The new Closed Loop Focus with 20nm positional accuracy, combined with an increased travel range of 12mm offers high precision 3D image reconstruction of large tissues and complete organisms.
